The Bruce

The Bruce has been creating Visual and Audio entertainment for over almost 20 years.. He started his journey in high school where, while attending he took a 3 year degree program in Photography and was awarded, 1st place at the Provincial Exhibition Photography competition.. It was during this time where his interest into film and video production started to gain most of his focus. He worked as a camera operator and live mixer on various projects for the local Community Cable Channel. In the fall of 1994 he enrolled in the Video Arts Program at The Institute of Communication arts in Burnaby BC.

Upon completion the following year Bruce delved into the world of Action sports and worked as a Camera operator on “The Traverse” a documentary by renouned Adventure filmmaker Peter Chrzanowski. Fueled by his experience he spent the next three years traveling across north America shooting and documenting the rise of “Extreme Sports” and the athletes which gave birth to his first solo production “Cream the Movie”. It featured the underground growth of snowboard, skateboard and BMX athletes including Steve Cabolara, Chad Slubowski, Buckey Lasek, Barry Walsh, Tom Boyle, Sierra Colt, Travis Fontaine and others.

The video gained international attention and was distributed thought North America, Australia and Japan. The attention gained by this production led to other opportunities including touring Europe with international recording star Simon Collins, directing music videos (Thumbz Down, Sketch Bros.) and working on feature films (Exiles in Paradise, Free, We’re Women We’re Nuts), indie productions such as Meet the Freaks ,Workshop Junkies (official selection VIFF 2000), One Day (DOP) and documentaries Match Made in Seven (CBC Newsworld, Vancouver Jewish Film Festival official selection.). IN 2004 he was asked to produced the 10 year anniversary Video for SLAM CITY JAM. He CO-produced, Directed and wrote the original comedy series “The Know and the No” for CBC’s He produced & hosted the internet radio show “Man vs Machine” on He has worked on various live events and concerts for major label artists including Rob Zombie, Too Short, Sum 41, Kyprios, the Offspring, Bif Naked, Dragonette, and others

In 2001 through a mutual friend, he met Loaded Gun Productions executive producer, Jeremy Deichen. That year he began working on the D.I.P. series and became a principal videographer and editor for D.I.P. 2, 3 and 4. He edited the Crew Video Series for Spike TV along with producing the corporate videos for GreenPlanet Wholesale and Biolytical labratories. He continues to work as part of the main production team at Loaded Gun Inc. and is focus on maintaining the highest level of technical and artistic development for the company.

Outside of video production, Bruce is a professional DJ (ELdjLOCO) and Event Promoter. He hosts the world renowned “Mountain Madness Mondays” Vancouver’s Official snowboard and Ski Industry Night (5 years running) and maintains weekly Friday and Saturday night residences in the city. Highly sought after for his genre blending Dj sets, he has played with some of the top artists in the world including Jokers of the Scene, Dave Nada, Dave Armstrong, DJ Fashen, Tittsworth, Neoteric, DJ Ayres, Ali B, DJ Eleven, Matt The Alien, Kev Fresh. He was the official DJ during the 2010 Winter Olympics for the Salomon House. As a promoter he has produced events for companies including Teton Gravity Research, Alterna Films, Vivo Headwear, RipCurl, Cypress Mountain, Air Hole, Ogio, and Endevor Snowboards and artists T.A.D.T, Bass Kleph, Hot Pink Delorean, Swinging Utters, the Glass, Erold Sane and Schitz Popinov.
